Well that's Trump, a raging lunatic who is astoundingly cynical and manipulative. Even if you could somehow tune out all of his personal flaws and just focus on what he says about policy, it is either narcissistic nonsense, empty slogans, or bumbling incompetence.

Every four years, both parties play Chicken Little politics - "Vote for us or the sky will fall!" But this time, I think it has merit for the Democrats to make that argument. Trump just gets scarier and scarier. He has encouraged violence at his rallies, he wants to lock up his political opponent, he is telling his supporters that our democracy is rigged and they should go watch polling places in areas he knows he will lose, he gave a speech last Thursday night in which he ranted about international cabals of bankers controlling the lives of ordinary Americans, there was the lady at the Pence rally calling for revolution if Clinton wins, and then these two armed nitwits trying to intimidate Democrats in Virginia. If you are saying violence on both sides is unacceptable, I agree. But it is Trump who gave a speech last Thursday that sounded like it had been written by Joseph Goebels, and it is Trump who is trying to undermine the democratic system by saying the system is rigged just because he now expects to lose, and it is Trump who has wholeheartedly embraced the Alt-Right and its paranoid conspiracy theories in which everyone who isn't one of them is the Enemy Within. He is intentionally fanning the flames of violence just for his narcissistic ego.
