I should note this is for a political theory class, not anything on actual medical practice.

well, yeah, but the thing is that political theory can become political practice with startling ease. just a thought. it's only fair, though, to note that my current state of mind is rather paranoid. once this whole courts-and-cat scenario is over, my feelings might be different. and monkeys might fly out of my butt HA!
i dunno what's up with me and the Wayne's World references lately. i wasn't even into Wayne's World.

i'm probably regressing due to stress. by Thursday: Garfield Goose, Ray Rayner, Bozo the Clown and Ringmaster Ned, and other lights of 60s Chicago childrens' television.

Finally sending the atoner I broke to get repaired tomorrow! Took me like 2 months to do anything about it but I finally stopped being an idiot. I can barely even remember what it sounds like, but I do remember it was fun!

Imagining myself away, night time far from here, captured by the soft glow of lights wrapped around a tree in the middle of nowhere. The warmth of anot(her) next to me. It's bringing me peace in my mind.

just ate a cherry turnover. the oven's heating for a cheese pizza. and i don't have to do anything else today but watch TV, play with the computer, and sleep unless i decide to mess with the music gear or swap out that annoyingly noisy EL84 in my Laney for one of the used RI Mullards i got yesterday for $15 the pair. and when we go to court on Wednesday, we're asking for all the cats back.

Memory Boy sounds sooooooo good. It's just what I was looking for. Can't wait to be able to play with it super loud through my double amp setup. All sorts of warbly, blippy goodness. Russian BMP into Memory Boy on square wave tremolo sounded awesome at minimal volume. Can't wait to add another trebly amp on top rockin' the classic fuzz.
I also just realized a class presentation is next week rather than tomorrow. Whoop whoop, I got a whole 'nother week to procrastinate on all sorts of things.

Look at my avatar for further inspiration for your shin.

No reason to be happy atm. Money is killing me and I feel like holiday. Two and a half more weeks...
Well, maybe this: I haven't dreamt for quite a while (or at least remembered my dreams). It has come back to me, I'm dreaming about this girl I knew and work. Well, maybe not this.

Found out the wife is getting a decent raise in her yearly salary starting in January. Insurance rates are going up though,...so I'm being forced off her insurance (for just her it's $50 a month,...to have me on it it's $692 a month; currently for her it's $15 a month,...to have me on it it's ~$300 a month). So taking me off the insurance (whatever,...I don't go to doctors anyway,...pay all that money into it to just not use it is stupid) plus her raise is going to mean a bit bigger family budget.
I'll still have dental which I will actually use.

i'm doing the best i can to grab little happinesses at the moment while waiting for my next adventure in court, which is supposed to occur tomorrow..i'm currently fielding phone calls every half-hour giving him details for documents.
last night i got the Tokai Les Paul out for the first time since my ex served me with the court order, put a used RI Mullard in to replace one of the JJ EL84s that was getting funky, and played some loud rock/blues and some everything-but-the-sink MBV sounds. the amp sounds so much happier with the Mullard in V7

one thing i've noticed about JJ EL84s is that they impart a certain Fender-ish quality to the sound of an EL84 amp; if that's what you want it's great, but i've been trying to get away from the Fender sound so putting the Mullard in the final power tube spot, where it can nom on the entire signal, is right up my street and pushes the Laney VC30 farther into Vox/Marshall 18W territory where i want it to be.
and when i woke up this morning my kitty came and was all in my face being incredibly sweet, talking to me and purring and trying to pull the covers off me so i'd get up and be with him. he really does love me, and i haven't had to give him up, so every time i get to hug him or make him happy is a gift.
i'm up to my tits in deep, deep shit, but i'm having to apply that attitude from the Zen stories, like the guy that was chased by robbers and fell off a cliff; he was able to catch a branch and hang precariously between the armed killers above and the abyss below. he looked up and saw a small flower on the cliff face. "how lovely it is!" he thought.
