either way, dollar for dollar you definitely got the shit end of the stick on that trade. like big time. but if you're happier with the sound, then i reckon that's what matters.
That's odd, but I definitely feel ya on the speaker thing. I could never confirm what the wattage rating on these speakers was. I received a range of 50-100W lol Definitely not going to be able to sell this cab for any appreciable amount of money though.

The fucker I got it from apparently couldn't get rid of it either (for a couple of years apparently), although he had a price tag on it of $600...  I'm REALLY hoping it was a mistake, because he had a gen 1 5150 cab listed for $300....

Got this Earth head in a deal today. Surprised the hell out of me. Doesn't really sound like the pv solid states I've tried--a lot more natural sounding. If I was an amp distortion guy I'd be pretty excited, has beautiful tone. Unfortunately it doesn't take fuzz very well. Not a lot anyway. Got this in a partial trade, so not looking to hold onto it. If anyone wants it for $200, hit me up.

that earth is old enough to where cap values get iffy and could probably use a good cleaning at the min. Or keep it as is and use to record with.

I love older peavey cabs. The one I use is from the vtm era I think? Solid as fuck. I put my preferred speakers in it and love it.

But yeah $150 all day long.

Brought my 65' ampeg jet home from practice. She's getting new caps, 3 prong chord, and a new jensen c12n. It's time as the amp is completely stock.

Figured while I was at it I'd take a family pic.

Actually most of the gear I own right now. Have a few pedals, and my 71' mustang stored away at this time. Also have a peavey 6505 out on loan, hoping it sells. Have my eye on a garnet rebel deluxe head that needs a new home.

Just seen your v6b in another thread, now I want one of those, love odd vintagey shit.

I'm in the process of dwindling my stuff down, as I have so much. Hoping to have just three heads and thfee-four cabs at most. Walls are a pain to manage and upkeep. If you do see a V6B just make sure you pay for what you get. Mine was not in any kind of working order when I got it, and I've heard the same from other people who have them. It'sbreally not that hard to take these things apart, it basically comes in three modules, so you should be able to check them out quite easily.
