Had an annual review; boss said 'get with it or quit,' which is fine...then also offered unlimited support for my projects to pacify me. I think he has to know how much bullshit I'm absorbing, and that my exit would mean an odious reassignment for a lot of people.

Helped a woman I had to lay off (not my decision) fill out her unemployment paperwork. She's getting evicted and having health problems, so I did what I could for her.

Did a bunch of 'fight the man' stuff that was woefully ineffectual; sunk deeper into an administrative malaise from which there is no moral victory or escape.

All things good over here. The horses keep shitting so there needs to be a stable boy to clean up the mess (I'm being figurative) and the lords aren't doing that any time soon.

Not for me, Toootth. One kid turned two yesterday; the other turns four tomorrow. My weekend is full of mermaids and bounce houses, not fizz pedals and cigars. All good, though. Perhaps next year.
