mainly more bracing. You don't need tons of baffle, but plenty enough that it'll hold the weight without issue. like I'm making a cab that's a 218 but in a 33x33x15 inclosure, it'll fit and there's plenty of baffle. So i'm going to try it out and if it doesn't work, I'll just make a new baffle and save the speakers for a bigger cab.

Here's a question? This cab has the dados for the baffle already, so how do I get my new baffle in? Is this something that I'm going to have to dismantle the cab to put it in?

Yea quite possibly. If I had a pic I might be able to figure something else out but if I'm picturing it in my head properly it's something to dismantle.

Well even if thas the case I'm sure I'll figure out a mcgyvered way to do it, just need some weed and pondering...
I'm thinking something like what I did with the repurposed cab. Baffle out make like a shelf thing that goes around the whole inside of the cab baffle then gets screwed to that. Seal any gaps with caulk. Except this time do it a lot better. It doesn't need to look pretty there will be a grill.

Yea that's like the old fender bassman cabs with the inverted pyramid.. all of them have the sloppiest fucking caulk jobs ever.

Blam! Progress.

Took some figuring out how to best dismantle it. A sawzall and a hammer worked best. Like I said she's not gonna be pretty. Left part of the middle partition figuring it would help bracing even a little bit.
I need about 15 feet of 1x1 and a sheet of whatever I'm making the baffle from. What should I make it from?

Finished the 412 into 218 tonight before band practice...but when I went to load in the speakers, I realized I measured wrong and cut the holes way too big so I had to improvise and made what I'm now calling "cresent moon ports", so it's not sealed anymore, but it still sounds great! Its good to have 4 forward facing 18s, now I need to get my BW fixed or buy a new one and ill run 518s and 210s, fvck yeah. My 800 Booster fits perfectly on it, so that's an aesthetic plus too.

Overall very happy with the end result, Im getting a lot better at this. And I have plenty of 3\4 pine ply left and a saber saw now too. I can redo a better baffle for the repurposed wood cab.
Ill put a full rig pic in the Show of thread.

cool deal, but yea that sucks that the cuts where off, did you get it secured enough so that it won't have a speaker tumbling out one day?

You might want to recut the holes, only having 2 and a half sides bolted down could lead to warping the speaker frame
