Not very impressive but I'm happy, my first working DIY build. Single Bypass Loop. My first was a BYOC Slowgear clone that just completely died somehow.

As you may see, I drilled holes without looking properly so had to move stuff, and use the large label to cover those original holes but I think it worked out well.
I also wired the LED the wrong way round and couldn't figure out what I'd done, but I have now.

New guy here, but since this is a fuzz forum and I built up a couple last night, I thought I'd share. This is my take on the classic tonebender circuit, with some changes, and put into a one-knob form (so fuzz is pegged at all times). I built up two tonight - I think they look good and sound good so I'm pretty pleased:

Thanks. 10? Yeah - something like that! Actually you haven't seen them all . . . there's been like three tremolos, some envelope filtering stuff, some octave experimentation . . . I'm only sharing the ones I take the time to make look decent . . . ugh - I need a life!

Thanks. No - this one is different, it's missing the third gain stage and the tone control of the other . . . you'll see me pouring out variations of these left and right in the near future as I look for various sounds . . .

Not quite what I had hoped...the epoxy is really bubbly and it messed up a little when I drilled the hole for the switch, but I'm happy none the less. Left the leads quite a bit longer than I normally would have, so it's a little sloppy on the inside.

I like it! What is the first transistor in there?

As for bubbly epoxy and whatnot . . . I never cared much for the perfect and glossy enclosure (I took a screwdriver to the top of my last build (see pics above)), I think it gives them some character when accidents happen and we roll with it. Doesn't make it sound any better or worse, does it?

Yours looks good, man. The bubbles may actually make it look a bit nicer, less bland. That one cap in there does stand out a bit.


^And I got some of those knobs at a local store here, now I keep seeing them around, like on the SSBS stuff and such.
