I think it'll be good for you to not have to deal with the cyst any longer cause I'm sure that'll be a pain, and I'm always up for a good cyst lancing picture! haha

Anyways, I haven't been to the gym along with my fiance (actually since before the bike ride) its just been a mix of working 8-8's and when we AREN'T actually in work we've got a billion errands to run.

I wish my work had like an hour long break for exercise through the day. That'd be awesome

Oh, yeah, Ryan Summit, you totally fucked up this thread.

It's all ruined now. :D

That, by the way, was the Moby Dick of Ryan Summit posts.

I hope the cyst disappears as quickly and easily as it appeared.

I definitely wanna see pics though.

My dad had a ganglion cyst on his wrist once, but it just kind of disappeared one day. Would've been way more fun if I'd known you could smash them.

Supposedly you're never supposed to sit down for more than 3 hours per day... No I don't mean at a time... I mean total...

A new study by a team of researchers in Australia found that sitting down is as bad for you as smoking or being obese.

holy crap, need to get a standing desk!

I've been meaning to try a standing desk, and, reminded by y'all, have now converted my desk to a standing desk through the use of old speakers, an unused dining room table extension, and some books. My observations after about half an hour are that my typing skills are now completely shot and that my feet are not happy with hardwood floors. Might have to make some adjustments here.

jfrey wrote:Focus on pushups, pullups, bodyweight squats, and sprints.

Exercises that move your body activate more muscle fibers than lifting exercises. Running in general "expresses" certain genes for health, weight loss, and muscle development. Long distance running however can have a catabolic effect on your muscles, so sprints are ideal for putting on mass and gaining strength.

Thanks. This is mostly what I do, though I haven't been able to pry myself away from my tri-weekly 5 mile runs yet. I was curious if there's any good reading out there I haven't come across yet. I think I need a stopwatch....

Greek yogurt has become a staple in my house. Fat free plain has completely replaced sour cream for the wife & I, we use it to make dips, put it on tacos & burritos, etc. The protein to carb ratio is amazing.

My favorite snack is 1 cup greek yogurt+1scoop whey...freeze it into icecream/froyo nomnomnom
Just had a batch of my pumpkin version for lunch :snax:

I'll have to get in on that greek yogurt action.
FInished my first 5K in 27 minutes this weekend, and paced myself a little too well-could've gone another mile pretty easily, so that felt awesome.
Pants keep getting looser and looser...

Thanks man...still annoying to hear the kids who beat me by 3 minutes claiming they didn't do anything to train.
Knowing how much I've neglected my body the last few years, it felt really good. Also been able to get into the habit of pushups and situps every AM when I get up, before I even sip coffee or troll ILF!
