Someone mentioned "Stranger in a Strange Land", right? I look it up, apparently it's amazing.
This book is terrible, and someone owes me $8.
People keep telling me to read it

Now I'm scurr'd...

I really liked it until it started getting into religion. For some reason I almost never like books that have a lot to do with religion - even made up religions.

likes the Max Barry. Syrup is really good too.
Finished Ready Player One today. Pretty good. A bit dry/cheesy at points, but it actually had a decent ending (but predictablish).

just started and finished Used: A Filthy Masterpiece. fun read. it's like if Chuck Palahniuk decided to throw together 4 graphic porn stories one afternoon, yet keep some of the oddness and humor that suffuses his normal works.
"i think you can get hard again. salute me and you'll get to shoot your gun, shoot me in the pussy with your sperm rifle."
pure. fucking. POETRY.
moving on to the Coldfire trilogy. don't know anything about it, showed up in my You liked THIS So Mebbe You'll Like THIS queue. 's a'ight so far. 'bout to reheat some papusa and rice and give it some time.

I read the first 2 of those so far. The third is on my list to read soon. They're very good.
Even better by that same author though is In Conquest Born. The book after that is good too. And also The Madness Season was really enjoyable.

is Conquest Born a different series? i'm not reading out of order am i? the book i have loaded up says it's the First Of The Coldfire Trilogy..... urm..... Black Sun Rising.
i hate when i read partway into a series and then find out those arenMt vague referances to History That's Only Alluded To, but a prequel series.
sneaky. little. author. BASTARDS.

The Cardinal of the Kremlin, a technothriller by Tom Clancy, because i like trashy cold war fiction.

Different series, totally separate.
In Conquest Born and the following book The Wilding are a sci fi duology. The Madness Season is a stand-alone sci fi / myth cross over.

Of your own choosing? Because that's almost as bad as Shakespeare.
