new berg NV412 is fucking fabulous.
I can't wait to get another one
stack it ontopof my other PPC412 and put the heads up top.
maybe i'll get road cases for them too and find a way to get the PPC412 ontop of the bergs instead.
for now it's a nice stack height.

what an ignant, drawn-ass amount of power. so sick

Nice. We Canadians think alike. I'm actually selling my SVT-CL, so I'll currently have one bass head. :(

I love Bergantino cabs. I want a 215 and a 610. My goal right now is to get a second 810 for my SVT-VR to run. That should be enough for a few intimate coffeehouse gigs or recording.

I'd really like to have two bass rigs. The Berg cabs with an SVT, Orange, or Sunn (300T or a Beta Bass/Concert Slave). Then my dual Ampeg 810s with my SVT-VR. The Ampeg would be my "clean" amp and the other would be distorted to fuck. Then I'd still add my pedals to the mix. That's my goal, but I'll make it happen. I hope to have a second 810 next year if I find a good deal on a used one.

I had two 810s for a little while. one was a 2005 particle board and the other was a 2006 MDF. I had gotten the 2006 because it sounded brighter, but still not bright enough for my needs. that's when i knew that the 810 would never get me the highs I was looking for. So I listed them both for sale got a Berg
I really wanted a Berg NV215, but they are discontinued and I doubt I'll come across a 2nd hand one.
the NV 412 is truly fantastic. , it ust blows away the 810 in every way.
More low end and i get now get enough high frequency from the cab for my synth to be happy, and enough for guitar distortion too.
I've got my 2nd 810 up for sale as well, so as soon it it sells I'll get a 2nd Berg.
I've never been so close to being SOO happy and complete with my amp setup.

also do I keep the SVT-18? bitch is HUGE, 22" deep. 4" voice coil. craziest low end i've ever heard.
if I was to find a 2nd one i'd for sure keep it... why do i obsess about having things in double?

I love the bass tone I get out of my Univox. So much, I sold my Sound City 120 when I played them both back to back. It gives me plenty of lows with huge mids and smooth and crispy high end. It's 140w pushing four GE6550's, hand wired, HUGE transformers, a heavy fucking amp. I posted a few pages back but it's appearently entirely different than any other Univox model manufactured. UX1501's are very hard and rare to come by. If that's the model you're looking at, I definitely say pick it up. I can't speak for any of the other models though. I've actually heard they're just mediocre at best :idk:

every time there's a new post in this thread, I hope that it's going to be someone that has recreated the amp from Back to the Future..

I heard the low end you get from Bergs is incredible. I just don't think I'd ever part ways with my 810 obsession.

Plus, if I had an 810 (or two) and the Berg cabs, I'd be fucking set. I'll just create some ridiculous doom/drone band. Two 810s, 215, 610, and whatever heads I can get my hands on. If it happens, you and I are starting a band. Dual bassist. One drummer. Maybe a guitarist. MAYBE.

Getting my Orange Head fixed soon...
for now this is my bedroom set up, I have awesome neighbours who say they can't even hear me...
so its been fun to work on different sounds. So used to playing whatever is around at gigs.
Now playing my own shit set up for a while in one place, well, its nice.
