How about the delay, though? I guess I'd ask what kind of delay flavor you're looking for... washy? Digitally pristine? Degrading repeats? Exp control for crazy noisescapes?
nose pedals. if you buy them directly through them there's a bit of a wait, but its not terrible. I received mine about 2 weeks after ordering.PeteeBee wrote:Nieh, who made the blue double wheel? I emailed saturnworks about making something hecka similar but haven't heard back yet.

Yeah, I agree zvex stuff is pretty available and affordable on the used market thanks to the fact that they apparantly fell out of favor with the cool kids, and aren't conservative enough for blooz lawyers and p&w crowdognoy wrote:You should definitely try out then!
I think the Distortron is very underappreciated pedal. Too normal for the Z.Vex crowd and in the MIAB-category the DLS/OCD/Wamplers gets all the credit. So it should be able to score for one for a nice price second hand.
It does have a good amount of distortion available, but I prefer stacking/boosting when going high gain. Maybe not enough for your Slayer-tribute band, but enough for all things rock.
For the last two gigs with my rock band the Distortron was the only dirt on the board.

The distortron kicks ass. I love Zvex stuff! Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who does.frigid midget wrote:Yeah, I agree zvex stuff is pretty available and affordable on the used market thanks to the fact that they apparantly fell out of favor with the cool kids, and aren't conservative enough for blooz lawyers and p&w crowdognoy wrote:You should definitely try out then!

I'm rocking a small board these days though, and I think I'd rather go with one fairly compact dirt pedal that can do both the medium gain thing as well as really high gain stuff...
But still, when a distortron crossed my path, I probably won't be able to resist
Edit: This just shows how impulsive and easily influenced I am...Already placed a bid for a minty Distortron
