Thanks so much Shannon!!! I'm thinking of going with the s&p then tailoring the aesthetics of my next dunwich to match. I love the black but i feel is expected and over done, the s&p seems classier.

What's up with that mic...packing tape...thing?

That is a home made subkick, I took a 4" mini-sub from a set of old computer speakers and made a frame out of 4 of the rings they put around speaker magnets when shipping 12" speakers that i hot glued together, then wired it backwards to its own 1/4" cable and made a mounting bracket out of an old tom drum mount and les paul pickguard bracket. It's ghetto fabulous but works amazingly well. Oh i also glued some foam inside the "shell" behind the speaker to keep errant sound waves from behind messing with the speaker.

Here's some better pics.

Thanks my friend!!! It's actually really easy as long as you have components.

Yup a 4-6" home computer sub works best, any 1/4" cable (wired backwards + to -, and - to +), and something to mount the sub too. Then just fashion yourself some kind of mounting bracket and boom home made subkick! It works best a supplementary mic, definitely need a main mic with a wider range and more mids / high end. On bass guitar i've had great success pairing it with a pr30 or an i5, then eq'ing them to basically make a crossover around 120hz.

While being visually captivating, that would be damn near useless unless your playing a bass rig at Sunn levels, or hitting a 28" kick drum with a sledge hammer.

TL;DR: Challenge Aceepted!
