never really listened to Black Keys. there's a buncha interesting duos out there though.

cool! a couple permanent overhead mics sound like the way to go for most shit. yeah, i'm not trying to get anything super pro', just want to have it easy to record work and send it home with everybody. i have a laptop i'm probally gonna wipe and setup as a DAW only and an extra Motu828. thought it'd be neat to have sorta isolated instrument tracks. a little bleed'd be no big deal 'cause it'd just be for referance/at home practice stuff, not release. but seems like it'd be useful to be able to send home iso'd versions if people wanted them. but not if it'd be too big a deal.

I'd rather see a nice top (taken care of) and nice finger board with a fucked back than anything else. That means the dude had enough decency to care for it and not treat it like shit, but still played that bitch.

yah. the first day i got a noodge in the neck and blood on the fingerboard of my bass was a RELIEF. i love gear, and i protect pedalz and shitz as much as i can. but play that motherfucker till... till it's your bitch i guess. there's not a better way to say that.

i've got a few 4 & 6 track Crapehnger mixers laying around. was gonna set up a laptop and an 828 mk II to record with.

sounds like a good balance would be a room mic for a good overall feel type recording and line in bass and guitar and record drums with some mics with a monitor mix going to the drummer to have separate muteable tracks...... ?

fuck. just put a bunch of Nasties on a pedalboard to run some drum machines through. fucking awesome.
