I was hoping you'd read the "manual" first, because you did what I expected most people would do, and think the parameter named "volume" is the overall volume, when it's in fact the volume of the oscillators (so if you turn it down, you can use the thing as a modulator and filter for incoming signals, or turn it up and drive the filter harder). So basically, you mostly played the filter as it self-oscillated with an LFO moving the cutoff freq in that video, which is also very cool and totally viable

Ya, I could tell there was something up with the volume... I almost paused to read the instructions more closely — I picked them up at one point, but my eye just caught the phrase "self-oscillate" on the res knob and that was enough to distract me. Lots of experimenting to be done, both with using this as sound source (will be excellent going into some of the Zoia synths) and as a filter fed by other things.

Yeah, explore away! And if there are adjustments needed, please don't hesitate to PM me. Like i mentioned in the letter, my setup for checking levels (especially input level) was not ideal at the time. So those sort of adjustments I can do easily and send you an updated version of the patch. Its pretty easy to update with a little guidance. Also, if you want to explore the patch yourself, I can send it to you with a little video explaining what's going on. I always recommend people messing around with Axoloti. Very powerful stuff.

Hey guys!!!! I logged in!!!

That doesn't sound like much but it's been a journey. So I've typed this message out three times now but it was always on my phone (I guess I only ILF on my phone) and it was giving me so many problems getting the pics up. So then dusted off the laptop and tried to log in but my password didn't work....for some reason....it's been my same password for decades....then the CAPTCHA 'forgot password' thing was hard....like....when did we start making 3PDT slang for true bypass? Have I really been out of the game that long? Oh, and we all had covid in between there but ANYWAYS....I'm back online.

And what's worse is I opened this amazing package from 101010111 like a week early. Haha. But it is some amazing stuff. The pedal is the Data Corrupter. This guy might actually be up there with my all time faves. So many awesome experimental sounds but a surprisingly amazing array of highly functional normal ones. He absolutely nailed that pick. The DVD selection of Dirk Gently is pretty serendipitous. DNA is my favorite author but I never got to read this series....my wife and I loved the American series and (funniest part) I just bought the books for it a week before this box came in. That's kinda......crazy right? The CD is groovy and the goodies are really fun. We've been opening one item a week and all trying it out. The consensus favorite so far were the coffee flavored wafer things and the most controversial were the squid flavored peanut candies....that were somehow.....really......addictive.

I realized after the fact that the shitty cable I had plugged from the mixer to the camera was picking up some interference, but it's sonically on-point.

Yesssss, dude! I loved that! Man, there's something about someone using stuff you've made creatively and in other ways than you intended that's just so God damn rewarding. I'll be watching this some more now, haha! Also, yes, would love the hear it with some synths running into it! I didn't have one at hand when building, but I imagine it working pretty well to complement, perhaps, a simple little synth
