Edit: I wasn't aware they actually have a project together. Thought it was a double bill.

(For the younger ones: Check out the bands Karate and Codeine to know what I am excited about.)

Plus I finally have enough patch cables and good picks again, so I just had a GREAT jam with all my pedals and new strings. Put me in a pretty good mood

Yes, phantasmagorovich, it is going to be badass. I think they've been playing together like that for at least a few years. From what I've heard it seems to be more blues based than your average indie rock collab. I'm not sure if they're still playing in that vein. Also, for a better idea of Chris's guitar skills, I'd listen to some of his solo stuff or better yet Come. (He played drums in Codeine.)

Yup, it's definitely real blues, but I'm into that. I'd have preferred Karate and Codeine in a bigger venue, but since that's not going to happen, I will be content in going to a straight up blues show that got my attention because of those two bands. Damn. Now I have to think just how awesome a Codeine and Karate in the Fishtank would have been. But that album with Karate on their own is pretty awesome as well. Highly recommended. Really looking forward to this shizzle!
finally got it back, my Hugger/ Vice Grip #1. Sure missed it, a lot. Tom threw in extra treats, too, so fun times ahead after much waiting and courting with the customs post office. phantasmagorovich wrote:phantasmagorovich wrote:Chankgeez wrote:phantasmagorovich wrote:I am going to see Geoff Farina and Chris Brokaw on Thursday. Noone is coming. I still ponder on going alone but I might as well do something else without being alone.
