How are you finding the PRS now after a week?

Killer rigs guys.

I'm very intrigued by the Science amps.

more than decent since when they do pop up it's usually a grand. The last time I saw one cheaper at 530.. it was a listing on ebay from a pawn shop and I bought it.

Love the Soldano. I had an early hot rod 50 that I thought I couldnt live without. It was amazing sounding and very versatile for a single channel no clean head. In the end I just needed more power. I really want a hot rod 100+ one of these days. I am super into odd ball vintage stuff at the moment so not sure when I will get around to buying one.

I'm interested in a hot rod 100. I remember hearing some tone tests of it. It would be nice but not for brand new. but if one comes up at a killer deal I'll scoop it up.

Yeah, I miss the QM but when I engage the Witchburner I can pretty much get where I was with the QM. Plus, the Pharaoh gets a little fuzzier and is a little less noisy when stacking. If I were gonna go with a one dirt pedal setup though, it'd be Quantum Mystic all the way.

I dig it a lot. I think the Duncan Distortion is still my favorite pickup but that may be because I haven't tried the Black Winter in my LP yet. They DD and BW aren't that far off. Both are nice and full in the low end, crisp mids and just enough highs to cut through. The BW has a tad bit more treble but its not over bearing. Still, it sounds great in the PRS. The body sits well and the bevels make it really comfortable. The only think I don't like about it is that if I rake the strings between the nut and tuning posts I can't get it to come through as loud as I can with my Les Paul. I use that in a very prominent part of one of our new songs so I guess I'll have to swap out when we do that one. Other than that I love it. Definitely a keeper.

I don't ever see them pop up used so I don't really know what they go for but I've got another vinyl release in the works (not my band) and my Hotrod 100+ will most likely be on the chopping block to fund it if I can't get the cash in time by other means. I've put it up before but then changed my mind after playing it. Shit sounds awesome. I really wanna try different tubes in it though. Something a little darker than what I have in it now. JJ 12ax7 and EHX 5881.

Conky, my Guild S-100 is a great "ping" guitar. Behind the bridge is where it's best. It's super loud and harmonic. Plus, it's easier to reach. :p

Yea I've seen you throw it up and I've almost made an offer before you took it off the table. I've seen a couple of the 50s up on ebay occassionally. But ya know me... too low wattage, not enough earth moving.

Got a chance to unleash the Peavey Firebass 700 in the warehouse practice room tonight. Really impressed with it. Pushes the hell out of the neo 2x10, even at 8 ohms / reduced power efficiency. Couldn't push the volume to noon. I didn't take the 2x15, and the 2x10 filled the space with sound with the extra power (compared to my Traynor YBA1 Bassmaster). Great midrange, thunderous freaking bass, even punch down to B. Tons of headroom, ran the pre volume at noon and blasted the amp with the Monarch at 18v, Megalith with the More Heavy engaged, or the Meathead dark clone fully cranked without clipping. Maintains different sounds of the od & fuzz pedals at extreme volume - the Monarch more gritty, the Megalith subsonic, the Meathead with brighter midrange. Really killer clean power platform. More features than I'll ever use.

Should get a chance to record wall of sound tomorrow, want to try the bass stack with the HM2 and guitar... Pretty sure the sweepable mid on the Peavey will make it an avalanche of entombedcore goodness.
