Re: Best City/Worst City
Favorite cities:
1) Munich, Germany (beer capital of the world, friendliest people on earth, soccer hooligans that just want to sing and drink beer, not riot)
2) Florence, Italy (spent my honeymoon here, incredible food, art, culture, friendly people)
3) Montreal (cool nightlife, best strip clubs on earth, was brought here for my 4-day bachelor party)
4) Boston (my home for about 8 years, I love this city)
Least favorite cities:
1) Worcester, MA (4 years of college speaking here)
2) Manhattan (filthy, smelly, everyone there is an awful human being)
3) Daytona Beach, FL (BLECH)
4) Patras, Greece (spent 4 days here and there really is nothing going on and nowhere to go)

Re: Best City/Worst City
Best - Florence, Italy
Worst - Venice, Italy
Nice and Paris were pretty cool too. I think since I spoke some french the frogs were a little nicer to me =P Nice was grimy in just the right kind of way for me.
In the US
Best - Denver, Colorado (never liked anywhere better than home)
Worst - Columbus, Ohio *may have just been a bad experience was only there for 8 hours*
2nd Worst- Des Moines, Iowa NOTHING THERE it's a methlab with some sky scrappers.
Though, I agree with the statement that wrong place wrong time can make anywhere seem like hell.

Re: Best City/Worst City
great list.
what i don't understand is. of all the possible other shitholes (East Orange, Jersey City, Hoboken...) in New Jersey. coupled w/ all the other possibly deemed shitholes in this country cough (Gary IN), & Newark NJ is like the ILF worst city consenus pick.
i just do not understand the logic.
