I have no idea.

Realistically, I'll continue to record like a fiend, have the gear I want (only things I seem to buy these days are things on my "if it goes on massive sale" or a rare unicorn is made for the first time in forever), and all the time in he day to play it in.

I ended up getting the analog synth out of the way last year (and with two knobs and sliders analogy-things, one modelled, I get the sounds I want already). I have the amp thing straightened out. I have a pair of modellers I'm happy with that aren't amps. I have a 16+ track interface setup.

So...yea...short of acquiring more purple gear because it's purple or scoring a mother of Jesus deal on a 70s Les Paul Custom (not a clone or a knockoff or an Epi)......no fucking clue.

If that's not a goal, WHAT IS?

Sell stuff I don't use. Don't buy stuff I don't need.

Very difficult, actually.

Guitar goals:
- Figure out if I want a boost or compressor
- Get another analog delay
- Get another spring reverb unit so I can be 100% analog

Bass goals:

This is exactly what I thinking this year. Things got a little outta hand the last couple years.

1. Sell a bunch of pedals I don't use often. I could probably sell half of what I have and not really miss them.
2. Learn how to arrange/wire a pedalboard. Mine's a rat's nest with cables stretching this way and that to reach and as a result the pedals are all crooked. Not a neat-freak, but it's not a very fun way to work.
3. Stick to learning how to play.
4. Maybe buy a VA such as a Nord Lead A1. Something that's not menu-based and doesn't sound plinky and thin but can be versatile and doesn't cost a lot.
5. Figure out a way to integrate my tabletop/rack effects with my pedalboard.

Write and record some stuff. Finally.
Build more!
Sell off unused gear.
Obtain: Witch Shifter, Frazz, Apocalypse, Space Spiral &/or Adineko, reverb pedal that drips
...maybe an Atmosphere, maybe a Sovtek Deluxe.

Goal: Sell everything, buy a few things I really want and/or need.

Reality: Sell a few things, buy everything except what I really want and/or need.

I got a fair amount of stuff last year, so this year is gonna be more about consolidation and getting more creativity out of what I have instead of just adding a new doodad to make novel bleepbloops.

My main practical gear goal is to find ways to cut down my rig so I'm dragging less junk out to gigs (and taking forever to set up and tear down).

Music goals:
- I have a solo album that's getting a physical release, and a release show pretty much planned up. So, hoping to get momentum from that I guess.
- try to set up more duo-ish improvising duo gigs, especially ones where I get to manipulate other people's sounds with my pedals and whatnot.
- wrangle some more band gigs and try to help set up some actual proper recording time.
- get some guitar calluses back, and go through my dad's old fakebooks to come up with a country tribute set.
