Big Trouble In Little China was written as a sequel to the greatest motion picture in the world, The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension. It was reworked because the studio didn't want to make a sequel to the greatest motion picture of all time, so we got Kurt Russell. I'm fine with that, since I get to watch it as part of my annual Kurt Russellmania Weekend.
