seriously? no love for TOM HARDY PLAYING VENOM?

weirdies.

why was the CG so crap in Wonder Woman? i enjoyed like..... 72% of it? but man the weightlessness of every CG fight scene was super distracting.

It's hard to make a good cinematic universe when the Shittiest Blockbuster Director has his hands over so much of it.

yeah I hate Zack Snyder with a passion

I tried to watch Suicide Squad because it was on Netflix the other day and I think I managed about 20-30 minutes before just stopping that damn thing and deleting it from my viewing history.
I heard that it was bad, but I didn't think it was that bad...

I'm a fan! Hope it will include Carnage as well. Michael Fassbender would be great for that role, I think. Maybe. Interesting to know whether Sony wants to do it alone, or if it will be part of the MCU collaboration.

You didn't miss anything by skipping out on the rest of Suicide Squad. Ugh.

I'm excited by Tom Hardy. That's about it though as far as that movie is concerned. Love Hardy, but I'm not too keen on the new Spidy. The guy playing him annoys me more than Toby Maguire and that's a hard feat.

i don't mind the kid. i don't love the Unca Tony thing with Stark that much.... and it is WEIRD that Aunt May gets younger and younger and now is a bit of a Sexy Hump Machine.

It won't, go watch that shit ;) It's a good movie with actors that actually played really well the characters from the book, compared to those shitty ones in Xmen and the recent Batmans.

the sex scene is HORRIBLE. well, if you can tune out the song it's.... a little better. but yeah. i don't get the hate for Watchmen. i enjoyed it. and i LOVE the book. huge part of my teenage development cycle.

only casting i didn't dig was Ozzy. Comedian nailed it, Owlmannnnn was good, Silky was pimperish, Doc Manhattan Peen was good, Rorschach was AWESOME.

Yeah Synder often has decent casting and the fight scenes look a lot like the source material but he. always. misses. the. point.

lol. i mean, i agree with the DC stuff. it's..... not the best. i liked parts of the new Supes, the Batman Vs was kinda garbage. MARTHAHHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. i still want to watch the extended cut, word on the street is it's more coherent?

and with Snyder..... i don't hate him as much as most people do. i loved Sucker Punch. i think it works on a lot of levels of commentary that he was going for. so he has his moments?

but i dunno about ANYbody having complete control of a huge universe. have someone as good at world building as Whedon in charge of general overseer-ship? YESH. but then farm out different directors that have the right love and tone for the source material.

i'm not sure how i feel about the Wonder Woman jam. i am GLAD they did a woman helmed and starred actiony comics movie. and it was enjoyable. the crap CG messed me up a bit. i kinda want to watch either a longer, director's cut version that makes the laggy parts more interesting, or a cut down more streamlined version.

and oh YES. FUCK YES DEADPOOL.

it was just PERFECT.

THAT is how you use your R Rating well. i don't get the overwhelming love for Wolverine. it was good. watching him FINALLY just cut the ever-loving buttholes out of everyone was good. but the constant FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK felt so damn gratuitous. and the story was...... meh? yeah yeah supposed to be a touching sendoff of the character, just so damn predictable.

agreed with the title.

Batman is probably the best of DC characters for me, and the only one i ever owned a comic of as a child...and the Christian Bale Batman movies i thought were the best. I did watch he Batman vs Superman movie...and it was ok. But lets compare two very similar scene's, 1 in a marvel movie, and the other in a DC movie.

1. The end of Batman vs Superman...the end were the tapes are found of all the characters of justice league...suddenly you realise "Oh shit, their gonna make Aquaman, WW and Justice league..."
2. The end of Incredible Hulk...Tony Starks meets the army general in the bar, and say's "What if i told you we're putting a team together"...suddenly you realise "Oh Shit, their gonna make the Avengers"

now...for me...the thought of avengers gave me an absolute BONER...hairs stood up on my neck...my wife gave me a confused look when I exclaimed "AHHH SHIIITTT". In the DC scene, i was like, oh cool...yeah that would be cool.

It's like the perfect parallel to draw a comparison, of when something works, and something doesn't...maybe im just more of a geek for Marvel than DC...

Having said all of this, there is one exception, I will say, of all the DC movies...I liked the Green Lantern one the most, and for me its up there with some of the Marvel movies.

I haven't read comics so I don't shut about them and how the movies compare. Seeing some of the movies mentioned:

Loved Hell Boy. Christopher Nolan's Batmans were good.

I saw Wonder Woman, not bad.

Most of the comic based movies coming out over the last like 4 years all looks like total dog shit.

I did see Deadpool though and that was good.
