Chank, let me go through my E-mail. Around this time last year I would put a max bid on EBay for pedals (usually my Bid was $35) and I surprisingly acquired pretty cool stuff from that.

Off the top of my head....
1. DOD DEATH METAL (this is actually one of my favorite pedals ever)
2. Digitech DigiDelay ($25 I think was the final?)
3. In this period I acquired my Metalzone (that was the closest to the $35 mark)
4. A couple of old Boss Choruses

Freak Craigslist accident but I got a Boss Bass Chorus, BF-2, and SYB-5 all for $50.

Recently got a Metalcore for $27 (Beleive it or not, if you are into stacking dirt, this one fits in nicely...don't think I would use it as my only dirt).

I love those cheap distortions. I'm all about GAIN! I want the gain turned all the way up and add more! I want all my high gain pedals to go on a train to Gainesville and have an orgy in gain. When I lift weights I want even more GAIN! Then I watch PAIN & GAIN with my pedals with the gain turned all the way up....FUCK!

I'm all about cheap stuff but at the same time, last time I did a 3 in the morning jam with my buddy, he uses a modded DS-1 (which he buys them for $20 and mods them, so still relevant to the thread)...I brought my DIRGE EVEN ANGUISH and PLL FUZZ and they totally ate his gear up and made him shit his pants (I probably shit his and my pants too though). I like stacking the cheaper distortions with the EVEN ANGUISH.

Speaking of him, he has a bunch of the danelectro pedals and I had no idea how small they were. When I see pics I think they're like medical gear for old people.

The older Danos are the way to go if you can get an equivalent price (when the same type of effect is available).

I haven't been able to kill one I got new when it was released around '96 or so, and still have it near the pile of regular stuff to throw in as needed if I want that particular gain.

Board of the "food" danos would be awesome! I have 3 that rarely use but wouldn't mind gigging with them (with an external controller of course).

I was going to suggest a Danelectro Fab Tone. Looks like their prices have doubled and people are asking a whopping $40 for them now. Might be able to find them for 20-25 on CL though.

Just lowball auctions on Ye Olde Red Fab Tone would be my suggestion, or find one that has "satan" scrawled on it.

That's enough to get a coffee afterwards and still be in the price range!
