Yeah unwatchable is a bit harsh. I could have done without all the James and Donna shit, and the talent show was goofy but the second season had me till the end.

Once you find out who the killer is, probably best to just skip to the last two or three episodes. Job done. The idea of the rogue FBI guy was good, but the episodes on the whole where just tedious and weird in a bad way.

I remember reading that Mark Frost wanted the third series to cover the white and black lodge, so I hope they've gone that route and have a definite ending.

We found the Twin Peaks VHS collection years ago while my wife was pregnant. She had never seen it before. Both excited for the reboot. I thought I read Lynch wasn't going to be part of the new series, glad he is.

Is there somewhere I can stream Twin Peaks in Canada? I googled it and the best solution was to buy Crave TV...

100% the James and Donna shit in season 2 is by far the worst part of the series. James is easily my least favorite character & I hate the subplot where he gets involved with that married lady. The thing about driving down a long stretch of road w his headlight off was also suuuuper cringey. Hopefully he's not still the fucking worst in the reboot.
I liked the talent show stuff though.

Also can we get some love for Ben Horne's Civil War-themed mental breakdown?

Oh Jesus haha, I almost blocked that out.

Also, fucking Major Briggs is the shit. I thought I was going to dislike him but he ended up as one of my favorite characters.

Yeah! It's a shame he died so it's unclear if his character will be in the new ones. Also I guess it was kinda unclear what happened to him at the end of the series IIRC? I actually didn't rewatch the last few episodes bc my girlfriend decided to watch them without me haha

I think he just left with the military and never came back?

Either way his character is so endearing. He's got a zen-like discipline thing about him. That scene where he tells Bobby about his dream of Bobby's future was legitimately touching.

Yeah it was like the first time I didn't hate Bobby, but it's mostly because he just shut up and let his dad talk
