I think Josh Scott is trying to seperate himself as a person and a business owner. Josh Scott as a person has had ties to iHop, but he is making the statement that JHS as a company does not. Allegedly. He can claim his business to be a ministry, per that interview, but that is something religious types do to make it seem like they are doing right by making money with some sort of relgious belief system in place to guide the business or spread the word of little baby Jeebus. I can't read that JHS statement without laughing and thinking about the fiascos with Devi, Klon dude, and some rehousings with customers that went bad.

Are there liberal fundamentalists?
Apparently so—one of my best friends from high school's little sister lives in Portland OR and is a huge lefty / very active Bernie supporter, and loves Jesus. And there are lots of these types. I mean, I'm not saying I get it either, but it's a whole lot better than what we've come to know as the typical fundamentalist :idk:

Also I want a Waffle House > IHOP tattoo.

Also at the end of the day, this. Despite all of the BS, I'm mostly baffled by the continued ubiquity of JHS despite their total lack of doing anything interesting. I guess the lowest common denominator's usually the most prevalent though, right?

It's kinda funny, when I was looking through FSB at the Klon threads, I found out that, supposedly, Bill Finnegan doesn't know anything about pedal circuits.Everything's outsourced (at least, according to Paul Cochrane of Tim/Timmy fame).
NSFW: show
FYI, this isn't a big criticism of marketing people (that aren't engineers/pedal nerds) that are in the pedal game, D.o.S. :poke:
So, he's actually not that different from Josh Scott except he had someone design a circuit for him long before JHS was in the game. :idk:

He has to say something, I guess. It's all a bit 'too little too late'. The guy loves and has been directly involved in a hate church filled with awful humans. Whatever.

If you all don't start being nice we'll never convince JHS to get a page in the hosted builders forum.

why bother giving them any attention at all? It's not like they put out anything earth shattering.
