Incredibly. Imagine us all trying to get into america to live, it's very dificult and costly. We can barely get through your airports.
This is true of citizens, too.

Honestly, probably not.
We have some pretty intense immigration hoops to jump through.
Mostly for white Americans it's things like healthcare needs and income levels.
But, I'm happy to help any bros/sisters that want to start the gruelling process of waiting out the Dept. of Immigration.

Super kind of you. Köln is a really nice city.
My wife and I were discussing Amsterdam, Stockholm and Bali [she has a lead on a teaching position there]. Friends from NZ sent me links to immigration paperwork there. It all feels like a hassle, but it might be worth it. On a molecular/cellular level, I fundamentally no longer have any overlap with half this country. I have no desire to think bigger and find common ground. I am done. Can't move to the country, as that is where the voters who back him live.

I'm waiting to see how the house republicans react to Trump winning. If the party doesn't crumble and they support Trump, I'm definitely going to reach out to my fuzz-brothers for immigration advice.

I'm unsure how bad Trump US will be. But hopefully he will be impeached right away, but not before California Seceded. Lol.
But if this got imaginations flying here is a pretty good run-down of how it works in Germany. D'Arcy is right, in short: you will need a decent amount of savings and skill in a specialized field or be very high-profile. It's impossible to get a working permit on unskilled Labour in the EU.

Seriously...
Any good (CHEAP) spots over there to spend a few days? How's airbnb in Germany? I'm going in a few months and there's no chance I'm paying for hotels with hot water and cold beers.
