I'll keep an eye on this thread and maybe contribute some stuff later down the line when my pedalboard is complete (will probably be the end of the year). I'm not a very productive person at the moment so maybe don't hold your breath or expect much.
Play guitar. Used to sing, but I'll leave that to other people (am liking my voice less and less these days). I don't really play bass, but I have one.
Not the greatest guitar player unfortunately. Competent rhythm player, just not very good on lead. Will have a ridiculous wealth of effects pedals to use to make up for my lack of talent. But lots of people here do, and have talent to boot - so not really sure I can really add much.
Have an interface, but the headphone input is annoyingly scratchy. My own problem to deal with, but just make me less inclined to record. Got my eye out for a new one, but I'm a cheapass, so it's taking a while to replace.
Like the guy on the other page said - I'll just creep. Will keep an eye on what's being produced, and make contributions where I feel I can add something. I've been meaning to get into a collaberation of some sort - but I'm a bit of a hermit, so would rather do so in the comfort of my own home rather than join a band. So this sounds up my alley.

Very into this. This will force me to resolve some sound card issues I am having.
Drum machines, guitar, some synth some bass. Sounds fun.

well i have purchased a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (1st Gen) sorry secret satan if you had read my mind and this thread. I doubt it.
Going to stop worrying about how bad i am at guitar and do what makes me happy and hopefully contribute something to this project.
How are we going to get the ball rolling should i set up a google drive and add all your email addresses or do we have another plan?

I'm setting up a private storage solution that should work better since it's free and I have like almost a TB of free space on my server.

Set up, PM me if you want to join. I'll create an account for you, give you a temp password which you can change. Please only use this for ilovefuzz stuffs. Warning, it will be possible for me to see what you upload even if you don't share, not that I'll check, but just know that it is possible.
And please remember to empty your trash, this thing will do versioning and store deleted files unless you manually permanently delete things.

Thanks Drod! I might have a go at uploading some random snippets in the next day or so.
Not the framework of songs by any stretch of the imagination, just stuff that can be chopped & dropped into some sort of looper/DAW. I'll endeavour to keep my snippets well under a minute each. I'd prefer to keep the source material inside the confines of this communal project, but don't hesitate to PM me if anything I upload turns the mental wheels on an outside project. I'm kind of easy that way.
I swear I will enter creep mode, as I'd rather do post manipulation of other people's files... however I just got tapped for a quick sound design project so I'll be doing this shit anyway and ILF will get the trimmings.

Yea dude!! Thanks so much!! Now I've just got to get the program part under wraps, but as long as we all use the same type of files (someone suggest wav, but I'll leave that to the experts on what has the least degradation), it won't matter.
I may still try and get a copy of Pro Tools. It's such an awesome program but if anyone knows of something similar that's easier to use, I'm into that. Pro Tools confused the living piss out of me back when I was using it.

wav or aiff are both interchangeable lossless files. Any audio program should be able to use either format.

Thanks DRod! I'm getting crushed at school currently, but once I get a little breathing room I'll get some clips in there. I'm equally as excited to sprinkle tasty sonic morsels on other stuff as I am to hand over my song ideas to the ILF masses.

Some naming conventions might help. 'F# minor riff 192 bpm' is unsexy but helpful. And did we agree one file type? DRod?

I'm kind of stupid with the whole note thing, so is there another way of making it make sense to me?? I'm self taught and never really learned any of that shit. Maybe it's time though.
Whatever file type won't sound like shit after being shared and mixed.
Doesn't matter to me otherwise.

Drod, you rule
As for naming, when I start contributing, y'all are about to get schooled in the Pope system of song wrangling.
Band member: "So that riff that comes after the chorus bit..."
Me: "You mean intermittent shred break with ascending accents variant A? Or variant B for the second time through, after post chorus noodle option 1C?"
Band member: "*Sighs* fuck I hate you. Just die, cunt."

Everything is just parts one through x for me. I'm awful.
