Not to completely derail this thread - I too never got pedals from Nic - but I'm intrigued by the Riff Filled Land. Any ideas how it compares to the DA 120OD?

Beautiful.

But also so true.

Sadly.

Chicago Music Exchange has two of his pedals in stock right now. Boom. No risk.

Yea but what I meant is that they would honor a good return policy, so it'd be low risk.

What was wrong with the pedal btw?

There was a loose blob of solder knocking around inside the case, the switch that went between hall and spring didn't work, and the gain knob didn't work.

They took the return no problem, I exchanged it for a walrus Julia. Thought it was a little weird CME put the broken one back up on the website as new though

I'd like to hear more about the Riff Filled Land too. But I guess no one really knows yet. There's only so much you can get from a couple of doomy instagram demos, they tend to always sound the same to me.

I've heard a guy making pedals under the name Kuro does one of the best Matamp in a box pedals. Gonna have to look into commissioning one of them perhaps.

Still fanboying hard for some Midnight Audio though... major hankering for a second hand one. I slept on it and it is clear to me that my desire for pretty things outweighs any integrity I potentially had.

Why? So far everyone has said the pedals are good. People have an issue with the character of the seller mainly. I don't want to get hung up on drama like that.

Why don't you just get an enclosure done and get a builder without the baggage to do the actual circuitry?

Get whatever pedal etched = aesthetic profit. No need to stick with the look of an otherwise great pedal. Support a good builder instead of the hacks.
