After reading more about Audiobus 3 I think I'll stick with AUM. The mixing and audio routing flexibility is insane with AUM. MIDI routing seems a bit better with Audiobus but AUM does basic MIDI routing and that's all I really need.

Yeah trying to decide which one fits my needs best is pretty difficult.
BUT. Audiobus is half the price.

Seriously... nobody likes this one?

too close to Samplr?

I LOVE Borderlands, it's completely different than Samplr, Borderlands is great for creating ambient and evolving textures.
Samplr...sigh, I really stopped recommending samplr since it's falling WAY behind the times, half of its features are broken because the associated apps/systems have upgraded and the creator hasn't bothered. He replies to emails saying he will, but it's been almost 3 years.

To keep adding to my growing list of posts, if you want a good sampler, you can also try the crazy ReSlice.

well, I'm one to talk..
I never even got around to buying an iPad in the first place!
I played around with Borderlands once and fell in love...very ILF app that one. Then I confused it with what I read about Samplr until I saw UCs screenshot
I had Beatmaker 2 and a whole bunch of other stuff on my Phone once, but ultimately the size of the screen turned me off...
Would you say getting a current iPad Mini would be feasible for getting into the game again?
Please consider
- screen real estate while assuming that my ability/willingness to accurately hit pixels borders on "my finger are sausages & I'm constantly drunk"
- processor power. I'm learning to love sparse arrangements, less is more, yaddaetc. but my approach to "how can this sound better?" is usually more Yngwian.
(Not saying this necessarily works, just saying that's usually my approach)

Mini nononono, get the current ipad (not pro). It's $350 dollars and just a tad less powerful than the current pro. The Mini is completely underpowered compared to the others, as it fell on the wayside because the iphone + took it's size demo.

true about size....
my moms Mini isn't that much bigger than my sons 7+....
never knew the new iPads were so... comparatively affordable,
I find 399€/499€ for 32/128GB....
32 though.... had 64 on a phone, that was kinda sweet and enough to be lazy about space for a while,
have 16 now and IT IS THE HORROR!!
Would you think 32 is on the safe side of that?

If you can afford 64 go that route, music apps and files take up a lot of space. Either that or start exporting to icloud/desktop often.

I use a Mini. No issues with interface or performance here. I use 4-5 music apps at the same time without any issues. I have the apps pictured plus a bunch of games and stuff. 4,5GB left.
