I'd sleep 90 hours a week if I could. For seriously, I'm lazy and have no energy whatsover (and I'm a mere young buck of six and 20!). I blame having to work two overnight shifts a week and not being allowed a proper sleep schedule (I'm just now waking up from a 5 hour "nap").
On topic: my band has a space in a warehouse that I can access 24 hours a day. We split it with three other bands, but it's still pretty easy to get in on a whim. It's only a block and a half from my work too, so during an overnight I'll often go and smack my drums around a bit on my break.

I play way less than I should. I've got a pretty decent amount of free time. Work 8am-7pm usually, and throw in a 10-2 saturday or 2 in the mix. I've still got like, 3 hours I could be playing. Instead I'm sitting here on ILF bitching about it.

I dont have a place to play at prefered volume right now, and i actually haven't for almost two years... fuck that's depressing
But since I moved 6 months ago ive really been trying to play at least an hour a day. sometimes I dont make it because of other obligations or just being out of it, but others I get in 1-2 hours or more. Not having as many casual friends due to moving has been helpful in this regard.
Actively trying to spend less time on my phone and computer in my down time has helped me keep my goal. So has disregarding some basic responsibilities from time to time. Luckily I don't have many.
Im on the m-f 9-5 grind and I really think having a different work schedule would help productivity and my ability to get into the groove a lot. But right now saving money is nice and going against the cultural norm is kinda anxiety inducing so here I am.
I really need to get a monthly space so I can be loud and take up drumming. Not only for myseld but so I can invite people to jam with me, sorely lacking that. But im in the conceptual ground of wanting to find a new apartment and a new job and adding more seems daunting at the moment. Meep.

I was 26 when I started that gig. It was my baby. I built it from the ground up, and well, it was a combination of both nobody knew the back end of the network like I did and there was no cash in a startup I owned a good percentage of to hire somebody.
You take chances when you're young and can write checks against yourself!

If you decide to go down that road I'll send you a box of patches for your dog's vest.
Bitch, I might.
Butsrsly, I have a bag of patches too. What am I going to do with Amebix and World Burns To Death and Appalachian Terror Unit and Oiltanker patches? I still have a Fall Of Efrafa patch from when I saw them play a four million hour set at ABC No Rio ages ago. Need to rebecome the crustlord I was meant to be, get that face tattoo I've always wanted.

Amebix patch is actually on a studded vest, actually.
Maybe I'll break my crust shorts back out this spring/summer. At this point they're essentially a sexy diaper made of patches, denim, leather, embroidery thread, and dental floss.
Yeah, def. Send me patches plz. No Leftover Crack. It has been over a decade so it is safe to start re-admitting I liked that shit, but their shit is ugly.

I dunno. I work nights and can't find time to play either so I don't know if it's just your work schedule.
After a certain age i think most people who play music end up working 9-5 jobs, which is why I can't find anyone to jam with.
