It's 3-4 wires, a snipped wire, pots (or 1 on the IC Water, 2 on the Digital Water), an LED (DW only) and a couple of diodes. I'm not getting into this argument again, but if the pedals are out of production, I don't mind posting gut shots. If you want the sound of a pedal in production you can either pay for the bender's idea/work finding said bend or find it yourself.psychic vampire. wrote:Second. Eh, $400 for a pigdog or castledine or whatever or seppuku...what does it even matter? It's all the the same.UglyCasanova wrote:LG too. And I get PMs here, DMs on instagram and some messages+comments on youtube as well from people that want to buy them. Most of them can't order because they don't use IE, lol. This is the third or fourth batch of IC Waters he has built in the last year, so they do sell.Strange Tales wrote:USD of course!
His pedals are way too fucking overpriced. UC and UG are the only people that buy from him now I think.

Would much rather give Rhys 300 for something interesting than darkglass or whoever for another blendable amp like Distortion...200 for a CB Ampeg like preamp or a bad ass delay for 75-100 more? I dunno...people pay 200-300 for stuff like a boss DM2 or 900-1k for a moog 104m...and I have had more moog pedals break than seppuku...![]()
But to each their own. I bought mostly from him when it was aud I think. My last order got lost by the USPS...so Rhys is actually replacing them. Pretty stand up of him really.
Everyone's price point/access to materials/target audience is different. No reason to complain about it. There is always the option of bending/discovery on your own.
Also, there are deals on this stuff out there...just gotta watch and treat people right and good things happen.

I'd be buying those too if I could afford 'em.lordgalvar wrote: Eh, $400 for a pigdog or castledine or whatever or seppuku...what does it even matter? It's all the the same.
This! I bend stuff sometimes and bought a NUX to see if I could do the IC trick. Realized I would probably need 2 or 3 units to make one that actually works. It's tight, hardware breaks upon disassembly and reassembly, solder joints crack when handling the pcb, footswitch self destructs. I didn't bother bending it, just spent the rest of the afternoon trying to save that sweet reverse delay and box it back up. Maybe I could have done it if I would have been willing to spend hours and hours on it but I didn't.Confuzzled wrote:That Time core housing is ridiculously small and it's pretty damn impressive that he pulled off what he did in that tight-as-fuck enclosure.
