Also has residual impact when arrogant assholes like someone......like Neil Degrasse Tyson. Used to like him but so many assholes do now that I find myself not digging him so much.
How about Taylor Swift? I'd read the dating/songwriting saga for a couple of years before I heard her music, and the tunes are good! but overall it's icky.

The pandering, stereotypical "Indie" sound. It sounds like the artist is trying to be genuine but they just end up sounding fake.

Also, the need to stick the big hip hop/R&B sounding drums into a rock context. Sometimes it works, most of the time its overdone.

I'm at an age where I missed the Taylor Swift stuff and my kids were still rocking The Wiggles.....so she's slipped through cracks of music in the household.....NTTAWWT. :animal:

Really the only thing I can think off immediately is a thing that seemed to plauge some of the old thrash bands where say they start off on a slow quarter time with a riff and then with each passing sped it up till it was a full on thrash attack. Just annoys the shit out of me. Doesn't haven't often but just thinking about it annoys me and I don't really know why.

Most of whatever one else said, I don't care if a band is basically a tribute band.. for example... Stormcrow the crust band is basically Bolt Thrower... But I love Bolt Thrower and they aren't releasing any new music so I'm quite happy with this substitute.

I can separate the artist from the art. So if someone is a piece of shit that doesn't change my opinion of their music.

I don't care if a drummer uses a click. I've used it for recording but never for live but hell I think with certain bands it's better that they do.

Oh the whole playing one thing on a guitar that doesn't feel right... I kinda get that I have some guitars I'll play noisy broken sounding grind or noise rock but if I play the same thing on other guitars I own... sounds the same but doesn't feel right to me.

Oh one thing that annoys me is more with people than with music but people who say they like everything... 90% of the time they mean whatever's on the radio cause music isn't important to them at all. Or if they do say it is, and it still is just what is on the radio.

Oh yea I don't like drum machines or drum programming. If the programming is so well done that I think it's a human drummer then it doesn't bother me as much. And the only band where it's so overthetop that I actually like is Mortician. Works for them, not for anyone else that's similar.

aka 'pinterest core' or 'small business rock' (it's not corporate rock, but it would like to be someday).
