I think a lot of kb's outrage comes from the fact that in america sexuality is still this really confused, repressed thing. Take anal for instance. I mention that i want to have anal sex with a girl and immediately his mind puts this violent spin on it. As if, in wanting to have sex in an unfamiliar and not widely socially accepted way, I'm in some way wanting to harm her, which is absolutely ridiculous, and stems from a homophobic and puritanical viewpoint.
the fact is, and its been discussed elsewhere in this thread, that its something that can be, and behind closed doors very much is, something that can be exciting and pleasurable for both partners. But were still not at a point in america where someone can just come out and say that. After all, if might offend someone that, while they might say they are "ok with gays", still finds their sexual practices revolting.
The AIDS thread didnt upset me, I wasnt mad in any way. I just thought it would be a good opportunity to show that those attitudes still exist in daily life for some people even though it may seem that those are attitudes od the past.
& My response to this thread was not based on being sexually repressed, it was that (the now deleted post about) your "method" of getting a girl interested in anal involved a previously non-discussed and non-consensual act. & since you weren't being sarcastic, I can say that that kind of response could keep people away from our forum. People who may be coming to look at what our awesome community can offer to find this thread and that response and say "well fuck this place if people are like that." & I dont like that, so I responded. There are a lot of people who have been here a while that can just be like "oh, SPACERITUAL, at it again" but im not really cool with it.

I agree to some extent. At the risk of sounding like a terrible person, I have to say "consent" is a slippery slope in both directions. Love dies when you have to stop every 5 seconds to ask consent for each different sub-act ("peripherals" I like to call them) during sex. Similarly, things get real awkward- or just plain Real without consent. It should be a person by person case and sex should always involve Trust and preferably Knowing the person first.
But yeah......that is all.
