Just scored a 3" slick on ebay that going by internet tool nerds seems to be from the 1870's or so.. for $48

You guys have such neat areas to work in.

I recently got my Ryobi bruchcutter serviced. Mother fucker is like a circular saw on a stick with the blade head now.

Also rad are torque screwdrives. So much easier.
And I used to love my Dremel before it died.
Now I love my Bosch drill.

All tools count except for the tools in tool, those guys are most likely tool less tools

I don't really have a nice spot to work in ATM, just my driveway.. I have a shed I have plans for but many things must be done to it..

and also…I have to admit I watch too many of Wranglerstar's vids.. they are fun if you like things about building things..

Did you cut that handle yourself? It looks nice man.

The axes are awesome, I have a few (axe/mattock and a hatchet) but we really don't have much use for them here in LA. Well, I could use them to chase people off my lawn. I dunno.

I converted my mag 77 circular saw into a concrete saw not to long ago. That was a mistake, haha. It took way to long to clean it. I'll get some picks going once it stops raining.

Nope [and thanks] I did not carve that one, although I reshaped it a little.. I would have but I needed a handle and didn't want to go on a wood journey to seattle or portland for hickory… Crosscuts is one of the places I really miss about Seattle…

When I saw this was the Tool Thread I was going to post pictures of our Prime Minister Tony Abbott and his fuckwit side kick Joe Hockey. But the I realized it was a different kind of tool thread.

Worst part about those tools is they aren't even good at the one job they were purpose built for.

Joe should get a better job though, really.

Did a coat of bolded linseed oil on a bunch of handles today
Finally broke down and am getting some good sharpening stones [DMT diamond: green, red, blue] not that using the scary sharp method is bad but the time/ setup time and mess and amount of sandpaper you end up using isn't as convenient.. although will still use it to take care of fixing stuff. Also got a 3/4" gouge so all I need it a 1 1/4" or a 1 2/5" or both… to have the set I want… looking at inchannel gouges now.. also looking at a few smaller framing chisels…

Scored a Ryobi scroll saw at the Farmer's Market for a set of Jackson twins. Score? I'm worried it won't be up to the task...but I'll start light with it.

I should take some pics of the treadle-powered grinder and other old jawns in the springhouse at the farm for you tool pervs.

Sharpening stones are freaking expensive to get into. When I got my 8k grit waterstone, it made me a little sad that I still need a 10k. The DMTs are actually greally good for quick sharpening though. I haven't used the finest one (I don't remember which one I have because I am color blind...not the blue). I usually go coarse whetstone, fine whetstone, DMT, to the 8k waterstone. Still haven't got my stroping technique down, but I do have 4 different polishes and rouges (I think I use green to get off surface marring and prep then I go white then 8k then to leather...it's been a while but I remember the polished can screw stuff up and I had to start over).

Funny enough, I can't find my mallet either.

And I have one of those drills too but I turned it on once and it smelled like fire (found it at my grandpa's).

Maaaan those old corded drills look sick but I'm way too much of a pussy to fuck with them. I've had a bad experience using a corded drill and a hole saw on what I was told was just aluminum sheeting. Imagine my surprise when the teeth caught the solid stainless bar o

I know.. I plan on getting a good japanese stone but yeah the $$$ and my needs atm are getting stuff fixed up.. DMT: I have a green one now which is a 1200mesh [extra fine] and a red 600mesh [fine] and a blue 325mesh [coarse] on the way, still on the fence about getting a 8000 mesh vs a stone...
