Remember that old game Blaster Master? That is exactly how I feel every time I get into my Jeep. Except instead of dated graphics it is reality. :joy:
I wish I was this optimistic
Instead, I count down the time until something breaks.

Man, I haven't had gear monies that totaled more than like $20 at any one time in forever. Just making it, all the time.
I should probably go back to school so that I could buy pedals with financial aid money.

The dogs. Heading in for a vet appointment shortly for my teenaged dude. Hopefully he just overdid it at the park, but we worry about him.

Didgeridoo, a mixer, turntables, amp, bass VI, loads of pedals, minibrute se, new bicycle, music-production course and an apartment or house. Feels good to have my priorities down finally.

I honestly have a different outlook on money than most people. I am not frugal in any sense of the word and never have been. If I don't have the money, I make the money or I charge things. I pay down the debt, then charge things again, and again and again. It's the American Express way (see what I did there?).

Anyway, you can't take your money with you when you die, so I'm going to buy what I want when I can because like I said "fuck money". Money is my bitch. My dirty little whore. I treat that money so bad. SO bad.

I wish I was stable. hahahahaha

Sounds like all you car bros need bikes. Way cheaper, way funner, and you can do so many things on a bike that you can't in a car. Wanna cut through the parking lot, hop through some guys yard, and hop down a curb? Cool. You would go to jail for doing that in a car.

I'd love to but my town is really not set up for bikes.
Death and road rage, along with hills fucking everywhere turn me off the idea.

colin wrote:I haven't bought a new pedal in months! Seriously, it's been like, six months? I got all my debts paid off, and the wife and I bought a house earlier this month. Our mortgage payments plus utilities and taxes should only add up to maybe a couple hundred more each month than we used to pay in rent, but I'm still avoiding spending any unnecessary money right now so I have a bit of a safety net.

Oh, and I need to get new tires for my car asap. It's mildly dangerous to drive in the rain with the current tires, and it rains a fuckton in the Vancouver area. Thankfully it doesn't snow here much, so I'm just going to get a set of good all seasons.
congrats on the house. my lady and i bought one a few years ago. what you should really do is set up your monthly payments so your putting a bit of cash into savings specifically for the house every month. we pay an extra $70/month (to make it a nice round number) into savings for the house. it's been a fucking life saver. shit goes wrong all the time. usually it doesn't cost a ton, but it's nice to have a cushion where it feels like you don't even have to pay for it. $300 plumbing issue? cool, i'm not fucked this month on that cause we've got that in savings. and when it really builds up you can use it for home improvements. seriously, it's the smartest thing we've done. also, we put a portion of tax returns into that fund.

Christmas present, student loans, monthly bills, wife could really use a car. I'd also like to get her some LASIK sooner or later because her eyesight is terrible and the remote possibility of her losing her glasses/contacts and getting stuck somewhere freaks me out. :erm:

haha i totally did this when i was in college. i would just not buy my books, or find them for much cheaper on amazon, then add something delicious to my cart to make up the difference.

its amazing how much they want u to spend on books, when u can get them for like 10% of the cost somewhere else. or a few times i would go to the bookstore and photocopy the pages i needed when I needed them. or I would hand copy the homework problems into my notebook then put it back on the shelf.
only almost bit me in the ass once, when they put the book i needed in the back storage because it was close to the end of the semester.

i think i bought a moog freqbox one semester and an sp404 another.

also, the book money i got wasn't part of my student loans, so it was just free monies basically

gaming the system babay
