I've always thought it would be cool if there was a curated jam/improv night at Club K every once in a while. Sort of like "Out of your head" at Windup space but for anyone rather than just the music school crowd.
That's what surprised me so when I got there. The invite list was a bunch of graduated music school guys, mostly jazz and composition I think. But then it was just total bleep fest when I blooped in, and I ended up being the main "notes" guy while I had expected to be the weird textures guy. Most of the music school crowd I've gotten to know around here is real chill and I like it
Baltimore has an improv group but its mostly invite only for music school grads. There are a TON of talented folks outside that crowd that would probably really enjoy a similar situation.

i've found myself a lot less inclined to use pedals lately. there was a crazy thunderstorm today so i've just sat inside using this, with the spring reverb maxed out of course.

How is that amp so clean??? How old is it
Sharp looking combo
Have you posted full thoughts on the harvester anywhere yet? I'm curious and have been daydreaming about something custom from them, not that it'll ever eventuate

I've set this up to treat myself when I'm done with a work marathon planned for today.

Edit: Blast! These attached pictures are annoying.

the amp is i think just over 40 years old? i couldn't date it exactly but they were made in the early 70's. keep an eye out for old yamaha stuff here, i paid $150 for this after losing an auction on a *BROKEN* JC120 that went for over $500 and this is debatably just as good or better in it's own way.
i haven't really posted about the guitar yet, i'm still kind of 'learning' it i guess, the more i play it the more i like it and better i can get it to sound.
i'll do some kind of proper write up at some point but honestly there's nothing i'm not stoked about. if you know exactly what you want and it aligns with Anthony's abilities and interests i wouldn't hesitate to recommend :thumb:
i gigged it last weekend and had no guitar-related issues the whole night, no strings popping out of the bridge or nut, no string breaks, tuning held really well for a guitar with a trem and non-locking tuners, no knobs or switches being knocked out of place - that peace of mind alone makes it worth every cent. it 'works' and doesn't have any quirks that make it unsuitable for particular things, that's the most important aspect to any instrument to me.

Jammed with some real people yesterday for the first time in forever. Had a ton of fun even though we mostly just played a bunch of shitty nirvana covers. This is what I took:
