I have all the censor
Pathfindercensor stuff as a PDF..... and would maybe be down for google hangouts or something. But we might need to get a few experienced souls involved.

In 4th I was super into min/maxing, but i just recently got to check out 5th. I love how it is more character driven.
Lvl 17 Revenent Avenger in 4th though. Started an uber powerful rogue just before getting into 5th.

I used to play quite a bit. But back when I played, this was the current edition:
It was a lot less detailed, but also a lot more "open ended". At least that's my take on it. I recently played a 4th Edition game, it had some neat aspects to the system. But I still prefer the freedom of the older editions (from way back). If you have rule nazis in your group, you pretty much have to play the newer editions. But if you have a laid back crew, you can go oldschool and really open things up.

5th edition is an attempt to back away from the RulesPalooza of 3rd and 4th edition.

3.5 was cool because it is pretty open ended, and the rules from the DM guide for it were really helpful when I ran my game.
i still think it's my favorite of the editions. although i've only heard great things about 5th and really want to play it.

Too each their own. I always found 3.5 to be a clunky, snail-pace mess.
