Seriously. It's not like turtleneck/V-Neck combos are skyrocketing in price or anything. You guys should still be able to afford your wardrobes just fine.

I get more annoyed at the guys with pristine vests, brand new patches from the most trendy of obscure bands, perfectly sewed on in a manner that matches their overly manicured beards and old timey haircuts.
Dudes with vests and jackets covered in the last 2 decades worth of puke and the rest are usually pretty rad. And have the best stories.

The dudes who were into doom during the late 80s and early 90s when it was...dead...that I respect.
The people who have had their road to Doomascus moment...I respect.
But the folks who just do it because it's not popular or not tha blooz, I snicker at.
Or who must detune at all times, in every way, to bring the daemons who wouldn't answer if they called legit just once.
As it is now, with boutique HM-2s and "vintage" Ibanez shredder guitars and the like....hipster trend that will end.

rfurtkamp, I have always respected your balanced views and opinions.
And "road to Doomascus", that was awesome.

As a guy that sports denim and patches, do you get annoyed that wankers are encroaching on what is now, your traditional ecclesiastic ceremonial attire?

I've grown/worn my way through several denim jackets. I don't appreciate the price of denim while it's trendy....

I still wear the levis denim jacket that I bought for $5 at the salvation army when I was $13
it had a shit ton of shitty punk patches and studs on it that I ripped out
the previous owner had dyed it black so I bleached it back to a weird grey blue
