Ah Skip, that sucks about your cat, dude.
Reminds me, ours is due for a trip to the vet, too.

I tried posting at guitargeek about a year before I started here. I might have put up maybe 10 posts before giving up. There were a few cool peeps, but mostly know-it-all douchebags. This place was about 1000x cooler than there when I started lurking. Now that I'm a member it's the raddest place in cyberspace.
Fuzz-luminati.

I'm off to get some stickers and shit. Keep this joint on the air, so to speak.

Luckily 80% had not latched yet so I was able to wash them off with soap and water but then I spent two hours picking them off of his paws and underbelly. Still gotta take him to the vet tonight so they can get all the rest I couldn't find off....

It's been a week......

but since I was in my hotel room...

lambgoat forums
pretty much that
WHO ARE YOU????? I've never even seen you post. LOL

ILF generally is not slow, it has issues sometimes, but not slow.

But I'm glad it's running better today.
He hangs out over in the DR section, which isn't quite as busy as the rest of ILF apparently. :idk:

Hahaha. That makes sense. I NEVER go to the Doom Room.

I posted there twice and now it's always at the top of my "view your posts" lists. It kinda drives me nuts. Kinda. It does drive me nuts. I like doom. Shit, I like anything with enough distortion. I just don't like a genre enough to socialise exclusively around it. Unless Behndy starts a progressive rock and metal room (sponsored by EHX). I would be there a lot.

Fellas, the DR is more about the copious amounts of man-bonding.
Seriously, it is ridiculous.
There are some great dudes there (great guys and gals all over ILF).

But I would be totally down for a more metal (and definitely prog) oriented space for shit chat as well.
It has been raised before, but mostly the Doom Room is full of people who are more attracted to or gravitate towards heavy shit in general, slow or fast.
There is a lot more diversity than I think people are aware of there.

I know there are plenty of good brohams in there - I guess I don't really jive with it cause it's different to my way of using ILF haha. I mean, I like keeping things open and posting in all parts of ILF, and even though ILF is in itself a bit of a clique DR feels a little too cliquey for my liking to only hang in one thread/subforum*. But fuck, if there is one thing that is good about ILF it is the fact that as long as you aren't a dick you can do anything. So for all the DR doods who will never see this post - rock on you bearded KT88 loving downtuners.

Which kinda brings me full circle - I haven't found anywhere else on the internet where you can engage in intelligent discussion/unintelligent discussion/bro-hugs/verbal assaults whatever in such a friendly and open way. Which makes ILF-downtime all the more   :(

* I know there are plenty of dudes like you who post actively outside the DR as well

Yeah man. This place is the best.
DR or Greater ILF and its associated regions.

Generally, I log on, check my posts or new posts and just open tabs everywhere (unless I'm on my phone), and usually by the time I've done the rounds reading and posting, I have to go back and check the DR again. So I'm a bit like you in that respect. It is difficult to keep up with that shit sometimes.

I was gonna email Tom about getting some ILoveDoom stickers, or a Doom Bloom belt buckle made up, it could be a big draw card for some people as far as raising some money to prevent unexpected downtime happening again.
I just feel like this place needs to stay alive in that regard. If we are too much for this server to handle, then as a community we really need to have a discussion about what our options are.
If it means subscriptions, then maybe that's what it takes (although I'm sure Tom will strive to keep things free as long as possible, because he is the fucking man like that).
I wouldn't mind though.
Especially if the issue can be solved through merch.
More tees!

Also, I would totally get a little Doomcloudguy tattoo if people raised the cash (Locopeland has one, ask him to show it to you).
Kickstart that shit motherfuckers! :doom:

I second the merch stuff. This site has really helped me advance as a musician and further my knowledge as a gearhead. And I've met a lot of cool dudes here too, behndy and skully in particular. I would buy the shit out of some ILF tshirts, stickers, all that jazz if it kept the place alive. Even my girl said she would help, and she doesn't even play. She just understands what this place means to me.

I surfed craigslist and ebay a lot.
I watched some Hearthstone on twitch.tv.
I played some Hearthstone.
Played lots of guitar while watching Season 4 of Archer.
Watched Twin Peaks with the wifey.

Yesterday on my lunch at work I watched 8 episodes of Coffee and Riffs.

I was thinking again of all of us doing something to donate/get Tom some extra cash so he can make necessary changes/so his host/server can stop screwing the pooch.

Also thought about how we need a backup plan. ILF Facebook Group or something.

Facebook group? Not rebel enough. ILF needs IRC channel or text based rpg or something along those lines as a backup plan.
Actually, the IRC channel is not a bad idea as I doesn't require any account whatsoever.
