It's upsetting that anyone could hate someone based on a group they happen to be a part of be it race, gender, religion, sexuality. I just dont get why people feel the need to hate others.

Are there any good pedal/guitar related subs? r/music is only sometimes interesting. I agree with the r/mildly interesting and those similar to that. Actually interesting! Most of my friends are only subscribed to all the weed and e cig subs.

Something Awful had lots of varied music threads that were mostly worth it to look through. The Doom/Stoner discussion was incredibly well curated, AFAIK.

This 100%. I still post on r/guitarpedals every now and then to talk and give advice on gear, but its nowhere near ILF quality.

Typically though, I find the best way to experience Reddit is to sub to what you like, unsub from the defaults and not be a pretentious twat about things. That last one is what really bugs me about Reddit sometimes. That elitist attitude.

I feel like people who use Reddit are the ones who've convinced themselves its 100% AOK to pirate movies and music all of the time, without actually contributing anything of worth to society.
