Last show we played was with a cute girl who sang songs about a broken heart with an acoustic guitar followed by a Chinese rasta teenager from the suburbs who played acoustic covers of top 40 songs... then my brothers band which is like doom, but with a looped distorted fiddle player and a huge wall of bass reinterpreting Norwegian folk songs, and then our band who is just a wall of amps, two bassists, a drummer and a guitar player, no riffs, no predetermined songs... and they said 45 min but fuck that we played for 90.....

No one that stayed for the first group of bands stayed for the second group of bands. When they asked us if we wanted to play another show we said "NO THANKS"

I'd actually much rather play a show like that. For the show I'm playing, all the other bands seem to already kind of fit together. Whatever. I'll just play what I want.

I can't seem to post a youtube from my phone, but this is appropriate to the thread and redeems the Green Day punk talk. This shit is the real fucking deal. I love this whole LP but nothing tops this song.....

My first gig was with a thrash metal band in a Community centre, and we went on after a jesusey folk band...

that reminded me of when my dual bass weird band opened for blueprint's straight up hip hop.
i don't think he liked us but it still was definitely fun.
