This!! You can lump Thergothon, Evoken, Unholy, Asunder, Funeral Moth.... plus recent heavy hitters like Anhedonist (fuckin' KILLER band) and Profetus to the mix. I dunno why My Dying Bride and Paradise Lost is getting lumped in with "funeral" doom these days, their classic stuff is always been "death/doom" as far as I knew.... what do I know, I'm from Canada.....
So in short, just get a reverb pedal....

My black metal band played with anhedonist in 2011 they are the revival of disembowelment except they arent inverloch.
