I've just bought a second one for this very reason.bigchiefbc wrote:I got to try out an Elements for a while, and really loved it's low-gain side. I know that's probably not what most people use it for, but it sounded great with just a little hint of drive.
Yeah, the low gain sounds are incredible with that pedal. Especially if you dial in an iota of clean blend. For real. I only recently started really getting into the high-gain side and I've had it since Christmas.WeHuntKings wrote:Yeah, the low gain sounds are incredible with that pedal. 18V sounds cool but only advantage is you get a little more head room while losing some of that glorious crunch. Doesn't break up quite the same at 18V, sounds better to me at 9V for sure. Higher voltage maybe helps if you run it in clean boost mode but it gets a pretty nice clean boost at 9V as well in low gain mode with clipping toggle in the center and gain dialed waaayyy back, volume way up.Achtane wrote:For real. Elements da bess. I wish I had an 18v power supply for it.
yep, the sparkle motion after a buffer/activated pedal has a really interesting breakup sound, with the drive maxed and the bias low.backwardsvoyager wrote:chillerthanmost wrote:SS/BS SPARKLE MOTION!!!
+1 Elements. Mine is set for the edge of breakup sound, low gain, no clipping. I also find you need to dial in a little bit of clean blend to make it really shine for this. Plus with the incredible EQ range, you should be be able to make it work with any setup. As a bonus, just by flicking it to high gain and adding some clipping diodes you can get great high gain sounds.Holy Schnikes wrote:18V sounds cool but only advantage is you get a little more head room while losing some of that glorious crunch.
