Arent the 2 Showmans for 400ish on GC solid state?
Nah. Those both appear to be Red Knob Showmans. Presumably the head version of Fender's "The Twin."

I'm half tempted myself but I've been spending loot elsewhere and it doesn't seem wise. Plus I kind of have a Sunn/Acoustic Control itch.

AKA the fender badged reissue Sunn Model T. :thumb: It's funny how one little badge can make the same exact head go for $600 more.

Well I'm bidding on a Concert Bass as I want to have a solid bass head around, will need to get a bass cab with lower impedance but I've got a couple cheap ones currently on CL.

There's also a Sunn Sorado on CL valued at $1600....

It's been impossible to do anything though because it's so fucking cold here and I don't have a car :grumpy:

Don't seem to be any currently available but I'll keep an eye out, I've heard good things.

Also the amp needs to work with a 16ohm cab, don't think I mentioned that.

VTM is from the 1980s so you will have to hunt for them. It takes 16ohm cabs. The vtm120 I have can take up to 4 16ohm cabs at once. It is wild haha.

I don't think enough people read my posts for it to become common knowledge...

I thought the Bassman 300 = Sunn?

Regardless, the red knob twin/showman is a sleeper. Used to run one in stereo with an Ampeg V4. Still convinced that was the setup that caused the blackout in 2003.
