Nice, you'll have to give us the full report.

Maybe start a new thread?

After several weeks of pi-phase ownership, I have to say I really like it. I have some minor gripes but soundwise it is just splendid. The infinitphase can give many abnormal/unique phase tones but the piphase is so simple to dial in kind of like the whetstone though with a much different sonic palette.

Gut shots. The little white cardboard squares are covering some component clusters, not sure what but I tried to give a visual in the second pic:

Sweet!

Those 'boxes' are covering the LED/LDRs that make it phase much like you'd find in a uni-vibe... bit of a cop out in design to just use a bit of card after the rest of it but does the job.
The original Bi-Phase had special 3 LDR vactrol packages if I remember correctly... not made any more and this is a decent way to get the same function.

It may be possible to change the depth/width/sweep of phase by a) adjusting the LDR positions under those boxes and b) using a different cover for the box, certain materials may reflect the light to the LDRs in a different way and complete coverage so no light can escape could pull out more depth.

Stacked boards it looks like too... cool! Nicely put together pedal.

My "gripes" as I said are very minor:

1) While the jack layout is I guess somewhat intuitive I would prefer the modern standard of inputs on the back rightside and outputs on the back leftside - no biggie.
2) I am not so keen on how close the footswitches are to the knobs - again I understand why. Removing the external footswitch controls while maintaining a manageable box size limits where footswitches could be placed. Personnally, I would probably prefer an external footswitch controller - no biggie either.
3) Rate LEDs would be useful for me.

Tone and texture wise I am fully on board with this pedal. I think a rubber fetish is up next ....

Don't hesitate to contact Mike during the build and discuss. He's def open to mod suggestions and user feedback, actually encouraged me to post gut shots for that very reason. :thumb:
