you'd think that if potatoes were enough to keep Eastern Europe from starvation, they'd be good enough for a fuckin' rodent.

fishtankdork wrote:yea deff rat. that would take roaches at least a week to accomplish that feat, rats on the other hand.... bastards. you got a 5 gallon bucket? put it in the middle of the floor and throw some pot in it. in the morning youll have a couple sleeping rats stuck in a bucket. ages ago when i owned a house i didnt visit much this is how i would deal with such problems. better to have a dead rat in a bucket for a week than a dead rat in a trap on your floor for a week. plus the idea of eating pot tll you die seems much more humane than a trap haha. if i were to go please let it be pot consumption.
Instead of wasting your stash on the rat, try this.
5gal (65lb) empty bucket of paint/spackle. Fill with 7-8" of water.
Remove the handle, and cut the bottom length from a wire hanger, and feed it through the holes in the bucket...while putting a paper towel tube around it, so the tube spins around the wire, freely.
Put some peanut butter in the middle of the tube. Make a ramp out of something, a piece of scrap wood for example...and lead it up to one end of the tube.
Rat steps onto tube, falls into water, drowns.
No poison, no glue. Very effective.
Dispose of carcasses in a dumpster.
Make sure to periodically empty/freshen bait of the trap; if you accumulate enough of them varmints, the drowning stage of the trap will be compromised.
