I know that, but based around how much money you're paying it's not a big deal

It's that 6 pack and a G for when you get home with new gear... I only pay full if they bring it to me from across town...

When buying on CL, unless I know the approximate used price, I automatically assume that the seller has jacked up the price $10 - $20 per $100 so I have no problem haggling on most items. But if the item is an obvious deal, I don't have any problem offering the seller their asking price and usually get the item because of all of the jokers trying to haggle the dude down by $5 or so.

ive noticed in my area
everything is jacked
epi specials for $200
and they stay on forever
as soon as someone posts somethin for decent$$$
its gone in no time
thers alot of those public replys
tellin peeps their stuff is shit
and gc sells it for cheaper
but when older amp stuff comes up
its usually a good deal
and gone pretty quick
nyc is a completely different story
so many stock pictures
its hard to tell whats what
unless its an obvious upcharge
like i figure $210 or $220 means $200
but if it says $250 im not offerin $150
and im not going to make change for $225
a deal is a deal
if their askin more than its worth to me
i dont wanna fight it down till im happy
i just dont bother if its overpriced
not my job to school someone i dont know
on the difference between msrp/retail/street
same shit applies to power tools
$250 for a used hitachi nailgun?cmon

lol there was a thread on tgp about people complaining that ads ARE deleted after items sell. Seems they want some sort of record/database of sold prices. Being tgp, there was naturally a humongous argument over this

Well... I can see a bit of logic to that. Sometimes when I'm going to sell something and I'm not sure what to ask I'll do a search in the b/s/t here for the same item, and if something is listed as sold but still has the price I know what I can ask for it and hopefully get. But yeah, people not deleting ads, or clearly stating that the item is sold, can be very annoying.

The counterargument was that the listed price doesn't always reflect the price that was actually paid...very often there's some behind the scenes haggling/bro deals going on, and people don't usually update their ads with the "sold price"

Nobody wants a 70lbs fender concert 2x10 amp. That's what I've learned.

Not even getting low balled.
