i was gonna get into a point by point of why the landlord is a fucking twat, just take my word for it thats hes an asshole. i dont really feel the need to get into it. i have rented many times before and this has been a nightmare at every turn

dont forget about the broken central air, which was broken when i moved in, and according to the lease thats my responsibilty to pay for. it's been 80+ degrees in this house for weeks. it's also humid as fuck. i try to cool the fucking place off at night. guess what? 60-70% of the windows dont open, dont have screens, or are painted shut.

Wow that got out of hand fast. I have lived in both Detroit and Austin. They both have their pros and cons. Actually both are pretty similar, everyone carries a gun, it's just that in Texas they do it in the open.
Also I think this started as a little friendly busting of the balls and turned into a rage fest

this asshole had 2-3 months from the last tenant to fix shit and didnt fix a god damn thing

Especially if there is a fucked up fix shit yourself clause.

the house is in a great location, it's a pussy palace (aside from everything being broken, you know), but im paying $300 more than the last guy (who was here a year) and of course, being that im not from here, i didnt know that until AFTER i moved in and met my neighbor
thats also how i found out about the 2-3 months they had to fix shit and never did

i dont see how it's even possibly legal to have a clause like that, the landlord owns appliances, but i have to pay to repair them, i have never, ever, fucking heard of that.

michigan tenant law gives u 30 days to get late on rent before u have to leave

i mean, you could have a lot of house parties in 30 days i suppose

but i know other states its like 45 days, or 60

it shouldnt be hard, there are just ungodly bars within 5 blocks of here, everybody comes to this little burb to get fucked up cuz the bars are reasonably priced and there are a lot of them in close proximity downtown

Personally if I came across a clause like that in a lease I wouldn't sign. Sounds like dude has a bunch of broken shit he wants someone else to pay to fix.
