I'd hop on this. I've really been using Reaper lately. If you can handle just straight up wave files for single bass tracks.
I'm not opposed to pirating that cracked version of Ableton but I am tentative on getting it to work.
While I have dropbox,...my bud clued me into a different program that can handle larger files.

Edit: I'm not exactly sure the ins and outs,...but you just create a folder and generate a passkey that you share with your buds and whatever is in that folder is synced/shared with teh folks that have dat passkey.
