take me now

Most of my vinyl is the "classics" I got from my dad. I do have a smattering of slayer and some early oughts post-hardcore shit though. last purchase was Cosmogramma, an awesome gatefold that turned out to house so-so adult alternative and Repeater + 3 songs. Once i have the scratch, I really wanna pick Super Ape for DAT DUB BASS. I need to fix the rumble I get from cranking the subs first though.

I am working on a crate for Unholy Grave and a crate for Suffering Mind. I have a handful of releases/splits. I could really go for an Agathocles crate as well. Love that dirty fucking mince shit.

I was working on a Dahmer collection, but stupidly sold some of their vinyl off when I tore down my record player a few years back. I wanted money and sold a bunch of records. Now I've got a killer setup and all the Dahmer is missing. I'm playing with Mesrine in a month, so maybe they'll have a dickload of vinyl for sale and I'll scoop up some more.

Also, I'm touring through Toronto and Montreal in a month and a half. I'll be hitting up some gnarly vinyl shops.

Yea I got a bunch of unholy grave, but couldn't keep up, plus the vocals got less bizarre so I stopped. Split with mitten spider is hot in fire.I think the only dahmer I have is that suppression split.

Yes.

I pretty much only buy stuff on vinyl that is vinyl exclusive, or if I'm at a show/store and all that's there is a vinyl copy. My favorite things about vinyl are the art posibilities and playing 45rpm discs at 33rpm, but I'm often not persuaded enough to spend the extra dough for it.

My dad has a crazy nice stereo set-up and I think both CD's and vinyl sound phenominal with it. I can think of a few instances when I've compared the same exact recording on vinyl and CD, and it's gone both ways. Too many variables to swear by one format. Love both.

I keep my records on shelves so I don't have bins for certain artists, I organize like so:

Soundtrack
Stoner Rock/Metal
Rock
Classical - Orchestral/Symphonic
Classical - Organ
Classical - Modern
Jazz
Electronic - Industrial, Vangelis, Walter Carlos, Iso Tomita
Other - radio broadcasts, comedy, stories, wieird stuff

the 45's are organized as such

New
New sealed
Used

The two 10 inches I have are in a container with my headphones, and some other audio stuff.

I had my records in bins, but I like the shelves alot better, it works in my room better.
