Man that sounds really good! I actually bought a HEXE Revolver II pretty much because i wanted a Possessed and heard nothing but bad experiences about them breaking. The Revolver is pretty damn versatile though, the control layout gives very precise control over what you want it to. It's expensive for any kind of pedal really but I wouldn't call it a one-trick pony. Only thing I wish it had was presets but its easy enough to tweak on the fly so I'm not complaining. I think it depends on your playing style whether pedals like these will be more of a gimmick or a regularly useful tool (I'm a Nick Reinhart fanboi so tend to use it as often as possible)

My experience with people calling things a one trick pony is that they play the pedal like they are making a demo. Like ringing out whole notes with an Ooh Wah and thats it. There are dozens of ways to use these things creatively and have them sound different each time.

Thanks for making that demo. Finally a sound clip where you can tell what the pedal's doing.

Yeah I hadn't seen anything where someone played something that complemented/was complemented by the rhythm of the pedal.

what you said about presets = truth. i guess i have a bit of an unhappiness towards pedals that do loads of interesting things, but don't have save spots. that's why while i LURV the Particle, i don't ever have it on board. live stuff for me has to be set it and forget it. i'm too much of git to go between settings.
so, for me, stuff like the Revolver, while hellsa neat and desirable, ends up as a one sound box.
i have a keyboardish board that's waist high though, so something like the Possessed that rewards knob tweaking... i'm trying to have it setup so i can play with the pedal whilst hitting keys notes.

hurm. that IS disconcerting. i can see this being a pedal i love.
anybody taken a look inside or had somebody look at it? if it's something they're doing shoddy in the build, and it's as fun as it looks, it'd be worth it to me to have someone like Danno or Skully look inside and rewire it.
