People still buy CDs? I've been downloading all my music since napster. I haven't bought a cd in over a decade.

not shunned i think in most cases you are normal,
I just happen to have piles of CDs
plus and I think I saw this somewhere above buying used is sometimes way cheaper than downloading

my local salvation army always has two or three disks that I like for $1 can't download a song for that most times

i wipe all the genre tags, all the other unused tags.
the only ones i keep are track number/title/artist/album/year and maybe comments for things like the album if its a homemade anthology

i've only ever owned like 30-50 cd's in my whole life, which is probably normal for people now, but i'm in my mid 30's and witnessed and was an active music listener and buyer for the entire reign of the cd as the dominant music form. maybe i'm underestimating, but i've bought very very few cd's in my life. i've got shitloads of records though. i don't have one of those usb record players so my only real option to get them onto my mp3 player is "illegal" downloads. i'm not going to purchase them. hell, i've already bought it once. i don't feel bad about downloading it. and now those are getting harder, which is pretty annoying when you're just trying to get music in a mobile format that you've already paid for.
