i just did mine this afternoon...
"nothing is" IS something weird. 3min 33sec of 1 chord and 1 drum beat looped and yet it isn't really annoying... at least for me...

Yup. I suspected this was going to be the case. It's all but guaranteed that 2 decades of "in the making" will leave you underwhelmed at first listen...but a Chinese Democracy, this is not.

Some of these songs are simply killer. Only one strikes me as "skippable" so far, but I will let it play when the record arrives.

The vinyl ritual: front to back and over again. Reserved for solid, enjoyable albums. Like this one.

ok scratch that. it's annoying now that i've thought about it before listening again. it will be most likely wind up being skipped just like the <obviously intentionally> annoying end to this...
